ASTANGA YOGA
Ashtanga is the union of eight limbs of yoga, into one full holistic system. The arrangement and frequency of this practice are designed to quickly improve your body and overall wellness. It is a vigorous form of yoga that includes a series of poses linked together with the breath to form a continuous sequence.
HATHA YOGA
‘Ha’ represents the esoteric sun, and ‘tha’ the moon. Hatha yoga aims to balance the two energies. It involves a set of physical postures and breathing practices. It is practiced slowly with static postures. Hatha yoga improves flexibility and builds strength while still being gentle with the body.
IYENGAR YOGA
Iyengar yoga focuses on three aspects; timing, alignment and sequencing. It combines asanas and pranayamas to build strength, stamina, and flexibility. It works to strengthen the connection between the body and mind. Iyengar yoga is also beneficial for anyone with injuries and chronic pain, all thanks to its slower movements.
KUNDALINI YOGA
This form of yoga includes chanting, singing, repetitive poses, and breathing exercises. Its purpose is to release spiritual energy known as Kundali, located at the base of your spine that moves up through the chakras along the spine. The release of this shakti energy enhances awareness and therefore is also called ‘yoga of awareness'.
